Now that Halo: Reach has been in all of our hands for 14 or so days now, we here at the Spirits of Fire thought it appropriate to recap and share a little of our fun times with the game. I’ll be keeping the writing to a minimum, and letting the screenshots, panoramas, and videos speak for themselves needless to say, there WILL BE SPOILERS IN THIS ARTICLE. We’ve been having a great time, and we hope you have been too. Who knows, maybe you’ll see us online, if you do, feel free to say hi and play a few games.

Starting off the Reach Multiplayer gaming festivities, I teamed up with Xerone on the Wednesday afternoon and got in to some light competitive games. Apparently I hadn’t gotten the hang of how the weapons work yet because I managed to kill one of my teammates and none of my enemies. I’m the dummy wearing that flaming helmet (and no-scoping my friend in the back of the head).

As a supplement to that video, I haven’t gotten any better at not betraying my teammates (as Marissas Dad can attest to) and as such have perhaps surpassed bs angel in my penchant for accidentally (I promise) killing my teammates

Next up, Xerone and Das Kalk (myself) pop up in this screenshot called 3B4L which stands for bearded battle bros for life. Myself and Xerone like to occasionally team up in matchmaking and rain death from above in Falcons. One such game had CrazedOne1988 piloting our falcon as we tore up our enemies from the sky. But it wasn’t just killing going on in the falcon. There was plenty of epic objective heroics. Take a look at this next clip from Arkonyx and see what I mean. CrazedOne1988 is piloting once again (as he does) and DeepCee and Das Kalk are in the gunner seats providing supporting fire.

But we haven’t JUST been playing multiplayer, not at all. Most of us spend the wee hours of the morning on Tuesday and Wednesday getting our campaign on, and what a blast we all had. Some of us have beaten it on legendary solo, some of us on Heroic, and some on Normal. One thing that doesn’t change on the different difficulty settings is how awesome Reach looks.
