Okay, folks, it’s time for everyone’s favorite day of the week, Facetious Friday!  Unless you had a birthday or a day off work earlier this week, then that was likely to be your favorite day of the week.  Nevertheless, today is the day for me to give you a screenshot and for you to come up with a witty caption.  I hope you ate your Wheaties this morning, took your Flintstones vitamins, and drank your Tang and Ovaltine, because I have a real humdinger for you this week.  But before we get to that, lets take a look at the captions from last week’s post.

Let the captioning begin!

What a week! Last weekend some Spirits of Fire members took on PAX/Halo Fest by storm. While they were at it, they also had a grand tour of Bungie’s studio! Just yesterday, we had a guest appearance on Bulletproof Pixel’s Bulletproof Radio. Bulletproof Pixel is a gaming & tech blog that also puts on a weekly radio show.

The Spirits of Fire have descended on Seattle in force for this year’s PAX Prime. Between PAX and Halo Fest, the Spirits have been having a great time. Here are a selection of pictures from some of our recent adventures and experiences.

The SoF members met over at the Hawty McBloggy forum for a few years planning weekly game nights and activities……bs angel allowed us to camp out at her forum as long as we didn’t mind her betraying us with plasma grenades, we love angel so we didn’t mind her occasional blue death attached to us from time to time!

The transition from spring to summer has been a busy time for the Spirits, but not too busy to neglect the induction of a few new members! We’d like to give a warm welcome to our three newest members: Antithesis (inducted on 5/23/11), NartFOpc (inducted on 4/20/11), and Schoony (inducted on 4/20/11). If you’re interested, check out their bios on the Members page!

That’s right, we’re moving on up!

For the past two and a half years, bs angel has graciously allowed us to operate out of her Hawty McBloggy forums. After she moved on to bigger and better things at 343i, we decided it would be in our best interest to move on as well. Over the past two weeks we have worked hard to get our new home base operational, and just earlier today, we opened up its doors. There are still some things that need to be done, such as create our own custom theme, but its functional enough for us to use. To get to the new forums, simply click here or click on the “Forum” button in the menu on the right.

If you received an email from us about the move, that means you can log in right now using the same login credentials that you used for HMF. If you were registered at HMF and didn’t receive an email, please double check all of your email accounts (as well as your spam folders) to make sure you really didn’t get one. If you didn’t receive one, it doesn’t hurt to try and log in with your HMF username and password. If that doesn’t work, you’ll need to make a new account (don’t forget to make a profile thread!).

To celebrate the opening of our new forum, we are hosting a Spirits of Fire Community Night tomorrow at 11pm EDT.  The game for the night is Halo Reach. If you’d like to play, stop by the forums and RSVP in this thread. Hope to see you there, and we’ll see you on the new forums!
